Naiade Resorts Ltd. operates and manages luxurious hotels worldwide. The company has announced the opening of a new five star deluxe Diva Island Resort and Spa at the Dhidhoofinolhu Island in South Ari Atoll on May 1, 2008, with the second phase slated for completion by September, 2008.
Dhidhoofinolhu is one of the largest islands in the Maldives, 1.8 km long and 500 m in breadth. The island is surrounded by a magnificent, sheltered lagoon, rich in marine life, with the wonderful spectacle of colourful tropical fish swimming around.
Right from the first phase beginning in May, Diva Island Resort will offer guests 5-star deluxe facilities including a Presidential Water Villa, 38 Water Villas, 12 Beach Pool Villas, 36 Beach Villas, 30 Junior Suites, Spa with 15 rooms of which 4 are built over the sea, restaurants, bars, swimming pools, tennis courts, gymnasium, dive centre and boat houses, etc. In the second phase to be started in September, more water villas will be added with a lot of other attractions.
The resort’s restaurants, namely Senses Oriental Restaurant and Lounge Bar, Noo Restaurant, Iru Bar, Veli Pool Bar, Pure Japanese Fusion Restaurant, East Asian Restaurant and Bar, Season Beach Restaurant and Bar, Allegria Restaurant and Bar will serve gourmet food and drink.
The Infinity Spa at Diva will feature saunas, hammams, pools, outdoor showers and relaxation gardens. In the spa, there are three sections, one for the men, one for the women and the other for both. The common area includes a boutique and a room for manicure and pedicure treatments.
Diva Island Resort and Spa is 25 minute flying time by seaplane from Male International Airport. On arrival, guests of the resort can relax in the Diva Island Resort airport lounge, which offers welcome drink, resort pre-check-in, Internet facility, assorted variety of snacks, fruit juices and beverages, etc.
